Deeply touched by the decline and degradation of the nair community of his time, into which he was born, Bharata Kesari late Sri.Mannathu Padmanabhan, a school teacher turned social reformer set up an organisation on 31st October 1914 to help them to become united and strong and to strive for their well being as well as the welfare of others. Originally named "The Nair Samudaya Bhritya Jana Sangham" was renamed as "Nair Service Society" on the advice of the learned scholar Sri K. Paramu Pillai and is registered under the Indian Companies Act on 30th July 1925. Its primary units are called "Karayogams".Since its inception, Nair Service Society, abbreviated as NSS, has grown multifold.
The ‘Nair Service Society Delhi’ was formed in 1984 following the vision of Sri. Mannathu Padmanabhan. Its head quarters named "Mannam International Centre" is located at Dwarka, New Delhi. A number of branches (Karayogams) came up in the years that followed.
Ashram Sriniwaspuri Karayogam,the 22nd branch of NSS,Delhi came into existance on 28-April-2013.
First annual general body meeting of the Ashram-Sriniwaspuri-Jasola Karayogam of NSS Delhi was held on 27th, February 2014.
On the 10th anniversary Karayogam office building was inaugurated.
